Connected apps
Applications you have authorised to use your GOCOSYS account, and how to revoke them.
What "connected" means
When an application offers Sign in with GOCOSYS, it sends you here to approve the request. Approving does two things: it proves your identity to that application, and it grants the specific pieces of your profile it asked for.
The application never receives your password, and it never gains the ability to act on your account here — it only reads the claims you approved.
The consent screen
Before approving, check three things:
- The application name at the top is the one you expect.
- The account shown is the one you mean to use, if you hold more than one.
- The list of permissions matches what the application plausibly needs.
Continue grants access and returns you to the application. Cancel returns you without sharing anything.
What each permission means
| Permission | What the application can read |
|---|---|
| Confirm your identity | A stable identifier for your account. Nothing personal. |
| Basic profile | Your name, username and profile picture. |
| Email address | Your email, and whether it is verified. |
Reviewing and revoking
Connected apps lists everything you have authorised. Revoke withdraws access immediately — the application's tokens stop working at once.
- Revoking does not delete anything the application already stored. Ask them directly for that.
- You can re-authorise later; you will be taken through the consent screen again.
- Revoke anything you do not recognise, or no longer use.
Signing out is not revoking
Signing out of an application ends your session there. It does not withdraw its access — the authorisation stands until you revoke it here.
